REVIEW: THE BATMANMany people enjoyed this new animated take on Batman but unfortunately I wasn’t one of them. I appreciate that characters had to be updated and original but did we really need a hulking Joker who jumps around like a demented gibbon with no class at all? The Joker is supposed to have a blend of charisma and unpredictability that keeps the audience hooked, even when he is committing truly despicable acts. However this is tossed out the window in favour of a manic, loud mouthed, buck toothed clown. He’s not The Joker, he’s a fool. Even though Gibbs was a good few years older than his Captain, the young man looking at him was the greatest sailor that Gibbs had ever served under. Even if he was a bit weird looking… Captain Jack Sparrow looked at him sternly out of kohl lined eyes, his tanned face framed by dreadlocks and a red bandanna.
